On 5 March 2025, a delegation from China Merchants Group visited The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the State Key Laboratory of Agrobiotechnology (SKLA) to explore research collaboration and learn more about CUHK’s scientific advancements.

The delegation included:

Dr. Xiong Xianliang – General Manager, Strategic Research Department, China Merchants Group Co., Ltd.
Prof. Zhao Yang – Advisor on Youth Development, Hong Kong
Mr. Huang Wei – Assistant General Manager, China Merchants Group Co., Ltd.

The delegation met with Prof. Lam Hon-Ming, Director of SKLA, to exchange views on research development and potential collaboration opportunities. Following the meeting, the group visited SKLA’s laboratory facilities to gain a deeper understanding of CUHK’s research in agricultural biotechnology, including its contributions to innovation, sustainability, and regional development.
This visit provided a valuable platform for dialogue between academia and industry, paving the way for future cooperation in science and technology.
