The fifth Agrobiotechnology talk was delivered by Prof. Jerome Hui from CUHK on the topic ‘Insects and other arthropods in agriculture: field survey, biotechnology, and genomics’ via Zoom. Prof. Hui brought up several studies carried out by his laboratory, including a field survey of insects in local farms, and genetics studies in insects in light to make new biotechnological applications and genomics studies in establishing new models in agriculture, to shed light on these neglected areas. The talk attracted 56 participants including international scholars, researchers, agricultural industry and general public.
