Prof. Lam Hon-Ming received recognition at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva

The 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (IEIG), held from 9-13 April 2025 at Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland, is a highly regarded annual event in the global innovation and technology community. It showcases the latest innovations and inventions while fostering collaboration and connections among professionals in the field.

We are proud to announce that the project Stress Tolerant Soybeans for Climate-Smart Agriculture, led by our SKLA Director Prof. Lam Hon Ming and his collaborator Prof. Zhang Guohong of Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, won Gold medal with Jury Congratulations at this prestigious event. By integrating state-of-the-art genomic research and traditional wisdom of breeding, they have developed three multi-stress tolerant soybeans for application in northwest China. This project has resulted in a total acreage of 102,600 hectares, bringing an additional income of 126 million RMB to local farmers.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Lam and Prof. Zhang for their outstanding contributions to sustainable agriculture and innovation.
