Prof. Lam Hon-Ming Appointed as Deputy Director of Academic Committee at Southern Soybean Innovation Research Institute of South China Agricultural University

On September 22, 2025, the Southern Soybean Innovation Research Institute of South China Agricultural University (SCAU) held its second meeting of the first Academic Committee, bringing together leading experts to advance the “North Soybean to the South” strategy.
During the meeting, Prof. Lam Hon-Ming Lam, Director the State Key Laboratory of Agrobiotechnology, was officially appointed as Deputy Director of the Academic Committee. The appointment was presented by Prof. Xue Hongwei, President of SCAU. Prof. Lam’s longstanding contributions to plant molecular biology and agricultural innovation have been instrumental in driving soybean research and international collaboration.
