On October 4, 2025, the 2025 Biodiversity And Space-Exposed Seed Nursery Project Awards Ceremony, organized by the Institute of Sustainable Development Education in Hong Kong, was successfully held. The event coincided with the first day of the United Nations’ World Space Week, marking a significant milestone in science education and agricultural technology collaboration among Beijing, Hong Kong, and Macao.
Professor Lam Hon-Ming, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Agrobiotechnology, Professor of the School of Life Sciences at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Person in Charge of the Hong Kong Seed Technology and Education Center, was invited to attend the ceremony and serve as a professional judge for the Space Planting Experience Competition. Together with representatives from government, academia, and industry, he witnessed the research achievements of nearly 300 students from 30 primary and secondary schools across Hong Kong and Macao.
